HSC Life

Maths Extension 2
Low in numbers, but with 10 hours of lessons a week, no doubt we are like a small family.
And this is also where some mischievious boys gather, the same boys that most teachers usually have problems disciplining them during the secondary school years.
But, suprisingly, harsh lessons have left them no time to display their small tricks and plays. In fact, they have spent hours and lessons trying to cope with their studies.
Remember, this is HSC, not primary school !

And the best part of Ext 2 Maths is that

1.It requires you to twist your knowledge, to read x 1 and study x 100000 the questions.

That is why, what you must do is understanding the concept and not memorising the already available past-year solutions.

2.To master Extension 2, you must be very flexible

Some "alphabet-blind" students don't even know how to interchange x and t !!!!

That is why, next time before you ever decide to enrol in Ext 2, you must x 10000 consult the Ext 2 lecturer, and make sure you tell your siblings to never give up any questions in secondary maths. Because............

You will end up failing in University, because the way you study is totally wrong, even though University is the best part of life.

It has never been easy task in solving Extension 2 problems, and THAT is why We MUST have group discussions. See, teamwork...

3. Advices

Throughout the whole course, we have been continually brainwashed=? with advices, criticisms and remarks regarding our works(refer to zlik's blog). Some may appear harsh, and some may not accept it, but some are truth nonetheless.(Note : only some) Yes, I do think that sometimes it is very hard to accept the truth, or rather, it is very hard to admit the truth.

PhysicS

Still interesting, but most are serious stuffs, so there are nothing much to be discussed here.

However, it has been a debatable issue that we only "learn by copying" where all the explainations have been given in the notes. Well, everyone has their prefered way of learning. It is only a matter of personal preference, there is really no who is right or who is wrong.

As for me, it does not matter as I have been trapped in this way of learning since secondary schools. In fact, some of my secondary school teachers don't even have experience in teaching, some don't bother to teach seriously and some are keen to be involved in road accidents and left their places vacant for half a year !!!

Cis + shake head + grin!

Therefore, for students living in poverty like me who do not even had enough money to attend tuitions previously -grin-(beat me up if you want), I had learned to strive in the worst condition. There is no use just grumbling and doing nothing.

In the midst of serious study, there are times when the class got seriously COLD with interesting stories,(air-con malfunction???) which lights up/darken the atmosphere of boredom.

1. A bird was hanging on top of an electric cable at night. A misplacement of its feet on an uncoated cable left it electrocuted and subsequently caught in gulfs of flame . (wow. from pidgey -> zaptos -> moltres?)cool. Fortunately, a man witnessed this but unfortunately, he couldn't do anything do help the pitiful bird. This Fortunately x 3 led to the birth of an interesting story... and maybe the birth of a new Gastly as well.?!?

2. Miracles don't happen overnight. You can't get more intelligent by just praying and doing the same routine everyday. However, being hit by a discus on the skull may be worth trying, provided that if you are willing to put your life on the line for better results. Beware, you may have to spend the rest of your life as a half-live-half-dead paralysed mummy in the hospital. Okay, here goes the story.

A not-so-clever boy was desperate to become clever. One day, he was playing on the field. His not-so-clever attitude encouraged him to play even when other students were practising discus throwing. In the end, it was again his not-so-clever attitude that encouraged him not to evade the incoming discus that inevitably hit his skull. So, the God felt guilty and decided to compensate him by removing the not to let him become a so-awesomely-clever boy. Amazed? Don't try this at home. *I mean in the field.

Chemistry

This lesson is even more serious than physics. No one dares to try anything funny in front of the lecturer, not when alik and his crews are not in this class as it will be only judgement that comes after. By judgement, I mean a really tough serious "rapping".

Nothing much but throughout this class, I have learned that all cooked food have been processed with chemicals and in the end, raw food is still the best. Thumbs up to sashimi.

Ohya, b4 I only realised mayonnaise is an oil-in-water emulsion but I never realise it is bad for our brain. Cis!! Kindly avoid consuming if you are desperate to become a genius.

ESL

A place where a God and her minions reside. Gods are usually almighty, but looks like the minions have left this God a hard time. All sorts of things happen in this Lecture Heaven 404. Perhaps, it is a heaven for the minions but perhaps not for the God.

Infamous inspirational codenames for the minions include piranha, old man, and innocent maggie. Shakehead for minion no.1 and minion no.2 who always try to popularise minion no.3.

All sorts of jokes, all sorts of patterns and all sorts of respectful salutes have emerged to be too much to handle by the God, and in the end the God has become more like her minions.

"This God is happy to meet fellow ESLlings but at the same time, meeting ESLlings means shorter lifespan for this God" quoted by ................

Good job. Fellow ESLings

Lucipher cannot be killed, immortal but not invincible. But the life of this Lucipher will certainly go better after her minions bid her farewell in less than half a month time.

  1. only 1 thing to say...
its about this quote from the above blog post, under section 3. advices:

"Throughout the whole course, we have been continually brainwashed=? with advices, criticisms and remarks regarding our works(refer to zlik's blog)."

it is not necessary to refer to zlik's blog. actually when YOU (and yes, I mean you, the one sitting in front of the monitor!) are reading this blog - criticism express, you are already reading quite alot of advices, criticisms and remarks from the lecturers. For example, quote:

"You will end up failing in University, because the way you study is totally wrong, even though University is the best part of life."
